Mr. Nigam received Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from University of Wisconsin, U.S.A. in 1948. He worked as an electrical engineer in the U.S.A., India and the Soviet Union till 1981. (He was Chief Electrical Engineer in one of the biggest Government of India Corporations.) Then Mr. Nigam decided to work on research on the most difficult but most important project for banishing wars in the world, as wars today, with most destructive weapons invented by most intelligent scientists, can result in the suicide of human race. This book is the result of his twenty-six year researches during 1981- 2006 using methodology of an engineer. History books are distorted and not always truthful. Generally, they are written by victors justifying their reasons - not always truthful - for going to war.

His first step in the research was an objective and true history to find the causes of disease of war. Next step was to find the cure for the age-old and worldwide disease of war. The book contains many revelations and surprises not known publicly. For example, this book describes for the first time why the British left India in 1947 and how they manipulated to partition the country and what was their real objective. They made people believe that they wanted a united India but it was partitioned as the Indian leaders were quarreling. The correct and true story of the end of British raj and partition of India during 1946 - 1947 has never been published before.

If India is to remain free and united, all Indians should know the true history of India's partition and independence. Hence this book is of great interest to every Indian. This book is of interest not only to scholars and intellectuals but also to all men, as their and their children's life is at stake. Only if all men realize the problem and give thought to it, can there be some hope of banishing war.

Since 1994, Mr. Nigam's articles have been published in Indian newspapers. By now they number 43. His first article was titled, "The Hoax of Pakistan's Islamic Bomb". This article showed that Pakistan had no capability to make atom bomb. This conclusion was based on geo-politics and Pakistan's poor capability in industry and nuclear field. As the common belief at that time was that Pakistan had made atom bombs, no national daily dared to print this article. Even the government of India and the Institute of Defense Studies and Analysis in Delhi believed that Pakistan had nuclear bombs. Only one regional English paper published his article. Ultimately, he has been proved to be correct in his assertion that Abdul Qadar Khan is a metallurgist and not a great nuclear scientist; and he is not capable of making nuclear bombs. He is no more called father of Pakistan's Islamic bomb, but is referred to as father of Pakistan's nuclear program. Now, it has become known to people, who have tried to follow the subject, that Pakistan has no nuclear weapons, though it has tried to make them. Many of his articles dealt with nuclear programs of Pakistan and India and developments there. In May 1998, Government of India thanked him through Consul General of India in Chicago for his article about India's nuclear tests titled, "Nuclear Tests - Their Significance". India's Embassy in Washington asked for a copy of his article for their use on orders from Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the then Leader of Opposition. At that time he was living in the U.S. His recent article drew praise from politicians like Bardhan and Dr. Sudarshan of R.S.S.

Due to his writings, his name has been published since 2001 in 'Who's Who in the World" published by Marquis of New Jersey, U.S.A.
